When dental emergencies strike, prompt care makes all the difference. We prioritize your comfort, provide targeted solutions and help you get back to feeling like yourself as quickly as possible.

01.

Process

Initial Call or Walk-in: Our team will quickly assess the urgency and schedule you as soon as possible.

Triage: Upon arrival, you’re greeted and guided through a quick intake. We focus first on managing pain, swelling or bleeding so you’re more comfortable immediately.

Emergency Exam: The dentist conducts a focused exam of the problem area. This may include digital X-rays to identify the root cause of your symptoms.

Diagnosis: We’ll explain what’s going on—whether it’s an abscess, fracture, infection or something else—and walk you through your treatment options.

02.

Next Steps

Immediate Treatment: If possible, treatment is performed during the same visit. This could include draining an infection, stabilizing a tooth, replacing a filling or extracting a tooth.

Follow-up Care (if needed): If more complex care is needed (like a root canal or crown), we’ll schedule a follow-up appointment and provide instructions on how to manage symptoms in the meantime.

FAQ

  • What qualifies as a dental emergency?

A dental emergency requires immediate treatment to relieve severe pain, stop ongoing bleeding or save a tooth. This includes a knocked-out tooth, a painful abscess or infection, significant oral swelling, bleeding that won’t stop, or trauma causing tooth or jaw damage.

  • Can I get a same-day emergency dental appointment?

Yes, our team reserves space in the daily schedule specifically for emergencies.

  • How can I manage tooth pain before seeing a dentist?

To temporarily ease tooth pain at home, rinse with warm salt water, apply a cold compress to your face, floss gently to remove any trapped food and take over-the-counter pain relievers as directed. Call your dentist as soon as possible to schedule a visit—delaying treatment can lead to more serious problems.
